The Rosy Room
Ingleby Barwick
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Location: Ingleby Barwick
Scope: Bedroom
Timescale: 2 Months
In this room the client wanted a boutique hotel look and feel with bags of colour. I created a colour scheme from the wallpaper we chose to tie the room together using different shades of pink and maroon and there isn’t a shade of white in sight. We kept the existing furniture and came up with a new lighting plan taking away the ‘big light’ (which wasn’t being used) and opted for pendants with individual switches to add a bit of luxury.
We kept the existing furniture as the pieces were fairly new and came up with a new lighting plan taking away the ‘big light’ (which wasn’t being used) and opted for two Pooky pendant lights with individual switches to add a bit of luxury. No more hopping out of bed to turn the lights off and on.
The wallpaper we used sat behind the bed and wrapped around the wall next to it and around the corner. The maroon paint used on the wardrobe door, skirtings and window ledge complemented the wallpaper beautifully. A pink shade was chose to frame the wardrobe creating lovely defined lines. A stunning room which wouldn’t look out of place in a boutique hotel.
